Solution 3 – Delete the save game files

Your saved games are stored on your console and on Xbox Live servers which allows you to continue playing your game on different consoles seamlessly. Unfortunately, sometimes it can happen that your save game files are corrupted, so you might have to delete them. Keep in mind that deleting the save game files from your console won’t delete them from Xbox Live servers unless you choose to delete them. To delete save game files, you need to do the following:

On the Home screen go to My games and apps.

Highlight the game that is giving you this error and press the Menu button on the controller.

Select Manage game option from the menu.

Once the relevant game information shows, scroll to the right and select the saved data for your gamertag in the Saved Data section.

Press the A button on your controller.

Now you’ll see two options available: Delete from console and Delete everywhere. Choose the former and you will delete local copy of the saved games from your Xbox One. If you choose this option your saved games will be restored the next time you start a game. If this option doesn’t work, you might have to use Delete everywhere option to remove your saved games from your console, Xbox Live servers and all other consoles that have your saved game files. Keep in mind that Delete everywhere option will permanently delete all your save game files, and all your progress will be lost.

Error reading save device message on Xbox One can prevent you from accessing your saved games, and if that’s the case, you might want to try restarting your console or clearing the cache. If that doesn’t work, you might want to delete your save game files.

Xbox One Not Reading Disc: 5 Ways To Easily Fix It

Xbox One Not Reading Disc: 5 Ways to Easily Fix It Find out how our experts tackled the problem

If you rely on physical copies of games on Xbox One, there might be instances when the console is not reading the disc.

The problem usually has to do with a faulty disc or issues with the drive.

To fix things, restart Xbox One, reposition the console, or change the power settings, amongst other solutions.

Xbox One users have, at some time or another, raised concerns over the Xbox One not reading discs, which is quite frustrating, especially when you want to unwind by playing your favorite title. Also, the problem is often accompanied by the 0x80820003 error.

Usually, this happens when the disc either won’t play or is not recognized after you insert it into the console. If your Xbox One Home screen tells you to insert a disc when one is already inserted, it doesn’t recognize your discs. So, here’s all you need to know.

Why is my Xbox One not reading discs?

Dust buildup: Dust buildup inside the console or over the laser lens in Xbox One can lead to it not reading the disc. Many prefer a dust cover for Xbox for this very reason.

Issues with the drive: As with any hardware, your Xbox one disc drive will likely stop working after some time, usually much sooner than the other parts, since its components are more sensitive and fragile.

The disc is damaged: A cracked disc or one with too many scratches will not be readable. But if there are no scratches and Xbox One is still not reading the disc, it’s a problem with the hardware.

Incorrect power settings: In some cases, it was misconfigured power settings that led to the problem, and reconfiguring it fixed things for most users.

What can I do if my Xbox One is not reading the game disc?

Before we head to the slightly complex solutions, here are a few quick ones to try:

If these didn’t work, move to the fixes listed next.

1. Perform a full shutdown

Choose the profile icon on your Xbox One, navigate to the System tab, and select Settings.

In the General settings, select Power mode & startup.

Next, choose Full shutdown.

Finally, choose Shut down in the confirmation window that appears.

A full shutdown usually helps fix many problems, including when Xbox One is not reading a disc. So make sure you try it.

2. Change power settings

Press the Xbox button on the controller, go to the System tab, and choose Settings.

Navigate to Power & startup, and then select Power mode & startup on the right.

Choose the Power mode dropdown menu.

Now, select the Energy-saving option.

Finally, press the Xbox button on the console for ten seconds, wait for it to turn off, and then turn on Xbox One again.

3. Clear persistent storage

Open the Xbox One Settings, go to Devices & streaming, and choose Blu-ray.

Now, select Persistent storage.

Select the Clear persistent storage option.

Once done, restart the console.

Clearing persistent storage has been found to fix things when Xbox One is not reading a disc. If this doesn’t work, head to the next solution.

4. Reset the Xbox

Open Settings on your Xbox one, go to System, and then select Console info.

Choose Reset console.

Finally, select Reset and Keep my Games & Apps.

Wait for the reset to complete.

Expert tip:

5. Change the hardware (only for experts)

If you have a fair understanding of the hardware and have identified that the problem lies with it, the knowledge could be put to use in this case. Just remember to be cautious and not damage any other functioning parts.

Here all you have to do is find a spare disk reader (from another Xbox One), remove the laser lens and spin motor, and replace the ones on the problematic console with these.

If nothing works, you are left with no option but to contact the support team. Whether to contact the game’s support team for a disc replacement or the Xbox Support team for a repair depends on the issue.

In case it’s only a particular disc, the former makes sense, while if the console doesn’t read any discs, the Xbox support will help.

If you have an Xbox One, you may have encountered the dreaded Double NAT detected error and wondering how you can fix it. We’re not going to lie, the fix is not exactly easy to apply, especially if you lack patience and are not tech-savvy.

However, we’ll do our best to make sure our instructions are clear and well-received. If you follow our instructions, at the end of the article you should have an Open NAT, which is ideal for Xbox consoles.

What is Double NAT?

A Double NAT situation spawns whenever you find yourself behind two private networks, technically speaking. If your ISP insists on using proprietary router devices, and you add a second router, you’re probably behind a Double NAT.

This may sound sophisticated, but trust us it isn’t. We’ll try to simplify it a little: basically, each router creates its own private network.

Your Xbox One is connected to the second router, most likely. However, your second router is on the network of the first router, which has different ground rules. So, you could say your Xbox One has to get past two firewalls in order to access certain services.

While having a double NAT sounds bad, it actually means a bit more security for your setup. But you don’t care much about security, you just want to play on your Xbox One, don’t you?

We’ll teach you how to get rid of the Double NAT detected error in no time.

Before we start, we have to clarify something. Many suggest that a VPN can get you rid of your Double NAT situation, but there’s a lot of confusion regarding that subject.

A consumer-grade VPN such as Private Internet Access will do nothing in your situation. You’d actually have to use a VPS, or configure your own VPN server and forward a bunch of ports, which is needlessly complicated for what you’re trying to achieve.

How to fix double NAT on Xbox one 1. Set gateway to Bridge mode

Type your default gateway address in a browser

    2. Log into your router/modem

    3. In your router’s configuration menu, look after a Bridge Mode option

    4. Enable Bridge Mode

    5. Restart your gateway and Xbox One

Expert tip:

For once, make sure you access the router that’s closer to the Internet. Enabling Bridge Mode on the router you’ve connected your Xbox One to will do nothing to aid your situation.

However, most ISP-assigned routers lack this Bridge Mode feature. If that’s the case, you may want to call your ISP and ask them if they can do that for you. Usually, they’ll be glad to help you and it doesn’t involve them sending a crew over.

2. Remove your ISP router

Physically remove your router’s ISP from the network, or whichever one of them has a weaker performance. Unplug the cable from your router’s WAN port, and plug it into your own router.

Connect your Xbox One to the newly Internet-enabled router, and you should no longer see the Double Nat error.

Note that some ISP providers are quite insistent with their routers/modems, so you might not be able to just yank it out and expect things to work. If that’s the case, go back to step 1.

Furthermore, if you have fiber optics Internet, your personal router may not have a built-in converter. This also means that you can’t just remove the ISP router from the picture.

3. Set your router to AP mode

Navigate to your router’s (not gateway) address in a browser

Log into your router’s management page

Locate something resembling your router’s operation mode

Change it from Router to AP (Access Point)

Restart your router and Xbox One

An Access Point (AP) is essentially used to extend the wireless range of a network. Depending on the model of your router, setting it to AP mode may also allow you to connect to it through an Ethernet cable.

However, note that this option could disable certain features on your router. For instance, QoS, NAT, and Parental Controls may no longer be available, so you’ll have to live with that.

Summing it up

All things considered, if you get the Double NAT detected error on your Xbox One, don’t fret, as there is hope for you yet. Double NAT usually appears whenever there is more than one router on a network.

While getting rid of the least powerful router is the most obvious choice of action, it might have some drawbacks. However, replicating our suggested fixes above could definitely get you rid of the pesky Double NAT error on your Xbox One.

And, for the last time, using a consumer-grade VPN will do nothing to help your cause.

PUBG is the battle royale shooter in the class of its own. We can’t say with certainty, but there has never been a game which can evoke so much love and hate at the same time.

Love for the impeccable concept, and hate for the underwhelming execution. Xbox One version came out first and it, seemingly, works better than a PC version.

However, there are some issues which are not glitches or bugs. Some users are unable to launch the game on Xbox One after the update.

We prepared a list of possible solutions but don’t hold your hopes high. If the issue applies only to PUBG, the Bluehole should be held accountable.

Nonetheless, it won’t cost you a thing to try out the steps we enlisted below.

PUBG won’t launch on Xbox One? Here’s what to do

We’ve written extensively about PUBG bugs on Xbox before. Bookmark this page in case you need it later.

1: Reset the console

We don’t want to trick you into thinking that these are the fully pledged solutions. The problem is so widespread that chances are that’s one of the recent updates causing it.

However, there are various things you can do to confirm that the root of the issue isn’t on your side.

The first thing you should do whenever your console starts misbehaving is a power cycle or hard restart. This should address all minor system halts and clear the system cache. I

t’s a simple procedure and here’s how to perform it:

Press and hold the

Power button for 10 seconds

or so.

Wait until the console shuts down.

After a minute, turn on the console again and look for changes.

Updates-wise, you can’t either pause or cancel those, so make sure to install all updates before starting the game.

Open My games & apps.

Choose Queue.

Choose Pause installation from the menu.

Expert tip:

3: Check the connection

A lot of talks about PUBG’s performance on Xbox One included connection and the vast plague of issues that emerged.

However, we still would say that a large part of PUBG players has more than sufficient bandwidth and conditions to play the game in a seamless manner.

The problem is, of course, on Bluehole’s side.

Nonetheless, here are some common steps you can take to ensure that your connection is up to the task:

Restart the console.

Restart the router/modem.

Use a wired connection if possible.

Check the NAT. Make sure that the OPEN NAT type is enabled

Enable QoS in router settings.

Xbox not connecting to Wi-Fi? Here’s what you need to do!

4: Stop Game Sharing

In case you’ve shared your Gamertag with someone and allowed them to access your games, try sticking with just your console. For some reason, this nifty option caused errors for a multitude of users.

After they’ve set their console as the Home console and restored the account, the errors were resolved.

This procedure is rather simple. The only thing you should do is sign-in on your console with your account and choose your console as Home.

In addition, don’t forget that you have yearly limitations on Game Sharing.

5: Reinstall the game

Finally, reinstallation of the game only can help, so we suggest reinstalling PUBG on your console. Even the more consistent platforms created for gaming run into problems from time to time.

Luckily, if it’s to be believed to recent reports, PUBG works much better than before on Xbox One. By reinstalling the game, you’ll get the latest, fully-patched version. So there’s that, too.

Here’s how to reinstall the game on Xbox One:

Navigate to

My apps & games.

Choose

Games.

Select

PUBG

from the list and press the Menu button.

Choose

Manage Game and then

Manage All.

Select

Uninstall All

and then

Uninstall.

Navigate to

My apps & games

and open the ”Ready to install” section.

Highlight PUBG and select Install.

Fix Xbox Error Code 0X00000201

Are you experiencing an error code 0x00000201 on your Xbox console? This error code is reported to occur when installing system updates on Xbox consoles. The Xbox error code 0x00000201 is preceded by other error codes and appears like-

0x8B050084 0x00000000 0x00000201

0x80072F8F 0x00000000 0x00000201

0x87DD0003 0x00000000 0x00000201, etc.

You will receive a similar error message to the one below when it is triggered:

Error Code: 0x80072F8F 0x00000000 0x00000201

Another instance of this error is displayed in the below screenshot:

Now, if you see the same error, there can be different reasons behind it. It could be caused due to bulked-up console cache. Or, there might be an ongoing server issue at the end of Xbox which is why you can’t update your console. Besides that, network connectivity problem is another potential cause of this error.

Fix Xbox error code 0x00000201

If you are experiencing the error code 0x00000201 on your Xbox console when trying to update the console, here are the solutions you can apply to fix it:

Restart or power cycle your Xbox console.

Check the Xbox server status.

Test your network connection.

Make sure you have enough disk space for new updates.

Try performing an offline system update.

Reset your Xbox console.

1] Restart or power cycle your Xbox console

The first thing you can do to fix this error is to restart your console. It’s a simple workaround but works well in resolving different error codes and issues on your device. So, press the Xbox button on your Xbox controller and hold it until you see a new menu. Then, tap on the Restart console option and it will reboot your console. You can then update your console and check if the error is fixed.

If a simple restart doesn’t help, you can perform a power cycle on your console. To do that, follow the below procedure:

First, press and hold the Xbox button on your console for about 10 seconds to let it shut down completely.

Now, remove the power cables of your console and let it be unplugged for at least 30 seconds to reset the power supply.

Next, plug your console back and press the Xbox button to turn it on.

Finally, try installing system updates and see if the error is resolved.

In case you still receive the same error code during the system update, move on to the next fix.

Read: How to fix error code 100 on Xbox.

2] Check the Xbox server status

The error might be triggered due to Xbox servers being down at the moment. Xbox Live services that are responsible for downloading and installing available system updates might not be in running status. As a result, you keep experiencing this error. Hence, you must check the current server status of Xbox Live and make sure its services are up and running.

You can visit the Xbox Status page and then check if there are services with Red or Yellow status. If the servers are facing an outage or some other issues, you will have to wait for some time to perform a system update without any error. However, if all services are up and running, you can move on to the next troubleshooting method.

3] Test your network connection

Another possibility that you keep getting this error code is that your internet connection is unstable or weak. Hence, make sure that there is no connectivity issue at your end. You can try restarting your router or performing a power cycle on your networking device and check if the problem is fixed. You can also connect your console to a different network connection and see if the issue is fixed. Besides that, switch to a wired connection if possible.

If the above tips don’t help, you can use Xbox’s network troubleshooter to detect and fix network connectivity issues on your console. Here’s how to use it:

First, open the guide by pressing the Xbox button present in the middle of your controller.

After that, press the Test network connection option to let it scan for network problems and fix them.

Once done, restart your console and check if the error is gone.

4] Make sure you have enough disk space for new updates

In a few scenarios, the error might be triggered if your console is running out of disk space. So, make sure there is enough free space to accommodate new system updates. You can try freeing up disk space by uninstalling unused games and apps. You can also connect an external USB hard drive and move your games to this drive to make some space on your internal drive.

5] Try performing an offline system update

Read: Error 0x80073D26 or 0x8007139F gaming service error.

6] Reset your Xbox console

In case the error remains the same, you can factory reset your console to fix the error. Some corruption on your device might be preventing you from installing new system updates. Hence, you can revert your console back to its original state and then check if the error is fixed. Here are the steps to do that:

First, tap on the Xbox button on your controller to bring up the guide.

Now, go to Profile & system and select the Settings option.

After that, press the Reset console option.

On the next screen, you will be prompted with choices including Reset and remove everything (remove games, apps, settings, etc.) and Reset and keep my games & apps (keep your games and apps intact). Choose one of these options accordingly and follow the prompted instructions.

Once your console is reset, check if the error is now fixed.

Hopefully, this helps!
