PUBG is the battle royale shooter in the class of its own. We can’t say with certainty, but there has never been a game which can evoke so much love and hate at the same time.

Love for the impeccable concept, and hate for the underwhelming execution. Xbox One version came out first and it, seemingly, works better than a PC version.

However, there are some issues which are not glitches or bugs. Some users are unable to launch the game on Xbox One after the update.

We prepared a list of possible solutions but don’t hold your hopes high. If the issue applies only to PUBG, the Bluehole should be held accountable.

Nonetheless, it won’t cost you a thing to try out the steps we enlisted below.

PUBG won’t launch on Xbox One? Here’s what to do

We’ve written extensively about PUBG bugs on Xbox before. Bookmark this page in case you need it later.

1: Reset the console

We don’t want to trick you into thinking that these are the fully pledged solutions. The problem is so widespread that chances are that’s one of the recent updates causing it.

However, there are various things you can do to confirm that the root of the issue isn’t on your side.

The first thing you should do whenever your console starts misbehaving is a power cycle or hard restart. This should address all minor system halts and clear the system cache. I

t’s a simple procedure and here’s how to perform it:

Press and hold the

Power button for 10 seconds

or so.

Wait until the console shuts down.

After a minute, turn on the console again and look for changes.

Updates-wise, you can’t either pause or cancel those, so make sure to install all updates before starting the game.

Open My games & apps.

Choose Queue.

Choose Pause installation from the menu.

Expert tip:

3: Check the connection

A lot of talks about PUBG’s performance on Xbox One included connection and the vast plague of issues that emerged.

However, we still would say that a large part of PUBG players has more than sufficient bandwidth and conditions to play the game in a seamless manner.

The problem is, of course, on Bluehole’s side.

Nonetheless, here are some common steps you can take to ensure that your connection is up to the task:

Restart the console.

Restart the router/modem.

Use a wired connection if possible.

Check the NAT. Make sure that the OPEN NAT type is enabled

Enable QoS in router settings.

Xbox not connecting to Wi-Fi? Here’s what you need to do!

4: Stop Game Sharing

In case you’ve shared your Gamertag with someone and allowed them to access your games, try sticking with just your console. For some reason, this nifty option caused errors for a multitude of users.

After they’ve set their console as the Home console and restored the account, the errors were resolved.

This procedure is rather simple. The only thing you should do is sign-in on your console with your account and choose your console as Home.

In addition, don’t forget that you have yearly limitations on Game Sharing.

5: Reinstall the game

Finally, reinstallation of the game only can help, so we suggest reinstalling PUBG on your console. Even the more consistent platforms created for gaming run into problems from time to time.

Luckily, if it’s to be believed to recent reports, PUBG works much better than before on Xbox One. By reinstalling the game, you’ll get the latest, fully-patched version. So there’s that, too.

Here’s how to reinstall the game on Xbox One:

Navigate to

My apps & games.

Choose

Games.

Select

PUBG

from the list and press the Menu button.

Choose

Manage Game and then

Manage All.

Select

Uninstall All

and then

Uninstall.

Navigate to

My apps & games

and open the ”Ready to install” section.

Highlight PUBG and select Install.

Pubg Vs Pubg Mobile: The Ten Biggest Differences

Read Next: PUBG vs Fortnite mobile comparison

15 best free Android games available right now

Game lists

For those who have played the PUBG PC version, PUBG Mobile will feel familiar in many ways. Obvious design limitations mean the journey to your first chicken dinner might not follow the same path. Here are the ten biggest differences when it comes to PUBG PC vs PUBG mobile.

Free-to-play model and loot changes

This is probably one of the biggest differences you’ll find in this PUBG PC vs PUBG mobile comparison. Learning from the success of Fortnite’s free-to-play (F2P) model, PUBG Mobile can be downloaded and played completely free of charge. It features what you would expect from any F2P title, like daily login rewards, experience, level ups, missions, free crates, and all that. Most missions entail killing a certain number of players or other simple in-game actions, and give both experience points and Activity points as a reward.

As players gain Activity points and reach certain thresholds, they are rewarded with up to 5 free crates every day. Experience points level up player accounts, which unlocks new avatars. Like the PC version, Battle Points (BP) is used to open crates, starting at 700 BP and increasing for each additional crate opened each week.

Purchases have no effect on gameplay

Some players might be turned off by the F2P model, but in this case purchases have no effect whatsoever on gameplay. Plus, the PC version now has paid crates with unique clothing options and weapon skins too, and it still costs 30 bucks. F2P doesn’t sound so bad now, does it?

Different game modes and no FPP

Range indicators on the minimap

One of the first things PC PUBG veterans will notice as they parachute down to the battlefield for the thousandth time is that this version features range indicators for both squad members and markers. There is also a dotted line showing the exact path the plane will follow, making it even easier to make the perfect landing.

In many ways, this is actually an improvement over the PUBG PC version. The indicators mean you don’t need to open up the map to see how far away squad members are or gauge distance between you and an objective.

Vehicles that you’ve recently used are also marked on the mini map, and a small indicator at the top of the screen points you toward the safe zone. All of these features make it much easier to stay oriented on the battlefield.

Completely redesigned controls and HUD

What are the best cheap phones? We tested 44, here are our top 8

The best

These changes might make the game a bit less beautiful, but they are critical to getting the game to run smoothly on budget devices. In fact, it looks and works better than the Xbox version in many ways — so well some PC players might wonder what PUBG would be like if developed by one of Tencent Games’ triple-A studios (which include Riot Games, Supercell, and to a lesser extent, Fortnite’s Epic Games).

Direction indicators on the HUD and minimap

To make up for the fact that most players won’t be playing with high-end headphones (or muted in the back of the classroom), PUBG Mobile adds several indicators to help orient players in the heat of battle. In a world where fewer and fewer devices have headphone jacks, this feature is more than just a luxury.

When shots ring out in the distance, a small icon on the minimap shows the general direction of the sound. Similarly, when you are shot by another player, a flashing damage indicator points toward the culprit. Footsteps (which are much louder) will also trigger a directional indicator on the minimap. Learning how to quickly react to this information could be the difference between a chicken dinner and cold leftover pizza.

Reduced recoil and auto-aim

Accounting for weapon recoil is often what separates the pros from the scrubs in PUBG for PC. On mobile devices it’s virtually impossible to control such tiny micro-movements. To combat this, PUBG Mobile gives players a little help with reduced recoil and auto-aim.

Auto-aim does not equal auto-win, and it can be disabled in the settings for an even greater challenge. Essentially it guides your reticle ever so slightly to help you hit the target. There is also an option to use your phone’s gyroscope to make tiny adjustments in your aim while shooting from the hip or aiming down a scope.

Vehicles much easier to control

Vehicles also make an appearance in PUBG mobile, and are still the best way to cover long distances when the safe zone spawns halfway across the map. You still need to gas them up when their tank runs empty, but fortunately they are much easier to control.

The “realistic vehicle physics” of the PC version take the backseat to usability in PUBG Mobile. There are three different control schemes to choose from, and it’s more difficult to lose control and start rolling until the car explodes. In fact, driving head-first into a tree doesn’t seem to do any damage to the player at all in most cases.

Bots populate lower level games

Right after the game was released, countless PUBG veterans took to the web to brag about winning a chicken dinner in their very first game. As The Verge and others noted, most of the opponents in a player’s first few matches are bots.

It’s easy to tell the difference between bots and real players. They often pop up out of nowhere, take a few shots at you from an open field, then flail around helplessly as you gun them down. It’s possible some are just truly terrible players, but either way it makes for a better first experience with the game.

PUBG vs PUBG mobile: Conclusion

Xiaomi’S Survival Game Is A Buggy Pubg

When Xiaomi announced Survival Game, its PUBG-like battle royale game, there was obviously a lot of expectations around the title. It’s now out in Beta and we were able to play a few rounds of Survival Game, and if you have played PUBG, this should be more than familiar to your eyes.

Once the match begins you are in a spaceship. Right in the first match, I was unable to see a jump button to get off the spaceship. As a result I had to wait till the system threw me off the spaceship. In the next few matches, I could see a jump button though, so that was clearly a bug. Not the best start.

The map in Survival Game is very obviously inspired by Erangel in PUBG Mobile. The island on the south of Erangel is reoriented in Survival Game to be on the north-east side. There are two big bridges connecting the islands and a water-body. For travelling around the map, you get a jetpack as default, and you can use anything from a small spacecraft to an auto rickshaw to travel around – the auto rickshaw actually has an air horn like the one you would see in most Indian cities.

To be honest, it looks like a cross between Fortnite and PUBG at times. The characters or Heroes look like they belong in Fortnite or Overwatch, while the action is like PUBG. The gunfire looks cartoonish – like it was borrowed from Overwatch – while the running and action is definitely PUBG-inspired.

Coming to the gameplay, it’s just like PUBG. You find loot, weapons and other items to kill your rivals. The houses and other detritus on the map are just like PUBG too, but one thing is definitely different. Instead of swimming, you can actually walk or run on water. It’s certainly weird at first and we are not sure if this is a bug or whether it is intentional.

Even the in-match HUD UI of Survival Game is exactly like PUBG. You have the omnidirectional pad on the left, and two triggers for your weapons, a sprint button, a backpack button and of course the jump / jetpack button. The jump button lets you hold down to perform a jetpack maneuver such as rising up to climb a building without taking the stairs.

While Survival Game is in beta right now, it actually feels much more like an alpha. Players appear in front of you magically – we assume these are bots added to the game progressively – and you seem to just die out of nowhere when running close to a parked vehicle. Despite the bugs, we did get the win in one game:

The bugs and glitches notwithstanding, I can see why Xiaomi is looking to join the battle royale fray. It’s certainly a lucrative genre at the moment, and the game’s Telegram group already has over 2000 users for the beta. If you want to join the beta, just open this link in Telegram and check out the instructions.

Pubg Mobile Guns P90 And Mk12: Gameplay Tips And Guide

With the beast of a new 0.19.0 update came a total smorgasbord of brand new features to PUBG Mobile. We got a new, Nordic-style map, Livik, that doubles the population density and cuts the playtime in half for a glorious 15-minute bout of unrivaled chaos. We have a brand new vehicle that’s actually cool unlike the exclusive dweeb-mobiles of Miramar, Vikendi, and Sanhok.

Most importantly, we get to sink our teeth into two brand new guns: The P90 SMG and MK12 marksman rifle — and both weapons pack a heck of a lot of firepower. Almost enough to make up for the continuing disappointment of the Winchester that came with Miramar.

Below, we’ll take a stroll through the new guns and their unique features, and give you some seriously in-depth gameplay tips on how to bring out your murderous best with each one.

MK12 Specs

20 round capacity, extendable to 30

Semi-automatic

High power

Extraordinarily low recoil

Like the Mini14 and SKS, the MK12 is semi-automatic only, but this doesn’t feel awkward because of the MK12’s standout feature: extraordinarily low recoil. Unlike other marksman rifles, and indeed most weapons, the MK12 needs almost zero compensation while putting holes in somebody, letting you send them to oblivion with a short homage to Tap Tap Revenge.

MK12 Gameplay Tips And Guide

The MK12 is excellent at engaging hostiles at medium to long range for its impeccable accuracy, comparatively lower bullet drop and nearly non-existent recoil. If you come across an MK12, it is usually worth it to pick it up if you have close-quarters specialist like an UZI or the P90.

However, because it lacks a full auto or even burst firing mode, you might want to skip it if you’re carrying a semi-automatic or burst fire weapon like the M16. Towards the end-game, if you haven’t managed to find at least a 4X scope, you also shouldn’t bother to pick it up if you have an AR and an SMG.

P90 Specs

High capacity/long reload

High recoil

Great burst damage

Ammo availability

The P90 is the Costco-sized SMG exclusive to the Livik map that you may recognize from the Arena mode where it’s been floating around for some time. The weapon has an incredible base magazine of 50 rounds, which is pretty easy to find the 9mm ammo for, and has some absolutely wild burst damage up close.

The weapon is a double-edged sword, however, for it operates like a cross between the Uzi and the DP-28 — it’s a great close range weapon capable of 100-to-0’ing opponents in the blink of an eye, but the huge magazine comes with steep reload time. That said, it’s excellent for the Livik map.

P90 Gameplay Tips And Guide

The P90 is an absolute beast in close combat, quickly turning opponents into Swiss cheese. The huge magazine capacity makes it nigh-unstoppable in a 1v1 when in the hands of a capable, runner-gunner. The best way to use the P90 is to first make sure you have a handle on your opponent’s location.

Once you know where they are, use the best route to get close enough to see some detail on their outfit, and then strafe laterally while relying solely on hip fire. Go full auto. Use your right thumb to aim and fire simultaneously, adjusting while you strafe. What makes SMG’s most effective is the ability to make yourself a moving target.

You should never be using the P90, or most SMG’s for that matter, at a distance. The recoil of the P90 is pretty heinous — and using 9mm, you won’t be able to string together enough hits to make a dent in your opponent’s T-shirt. One of the secrets understood by few PUBG Mobile players is the unique utility of the SMG.

The close-quarter specialists have much tighter hip-fire crosshairs than the AR’s, small enough to house most of a standing player’s hitbox within then even while moving and going full auto. Most players tend to scope for all situations, making them stationary targets. Even if they’re using a crate AR, if they’re standing still and you’re moving, they’re the ones getting shredded.

The huge magazine capacity affords you a great tactic to bait opponents into emptying their clips, even those using SMG’s. If you have effective cover, first draw enemy fire by exposing yourself. Make your presence known, whether through footsteps or firing at their cover, and pop out as if to charge them.

They will often try to smoke you immediately — backpedal, zigzag, or jump back behind cover, letting them eat up a good chunk of their clip. Then rush into close quarters. They will be forced to reload mid firefight, letting you cleave through them with little worry. The 50 round capacity of the P90 lets you pull this off sometimes without having to bait them — just keep moving, and keep firing, and they’re guaranteed to run out of ammo first.

We hope you enjoyed this run-through of Livik’s exclusive weapons and to use them in your own death-dealing giveaway next time you’re in-game. Be sure to let everyone else know any tips/tricks you use to get that chicken dinner, and what you think of the new Livik map, down below.

If your Bluetooth keyboard isn’t working with Windows 10, then you’re having a driver issue, and this can be quite annoying since you can’t do anything without your keyboard.

However, since this is a driver issue, it can be resolved with few simple tricks.

Bluetooth keyboards are useful, but some users reported issues with them on Windows 10. Speaking of keyboard issues, users reported the following problems with their Bluetooth keyboard:

Windows 10 not generating passcode for Bluetooth keyboard – Many users reported that they can’t pair their Bluetooth keyboard with Windows since Windows 10 isn’t generating the necessary passcode. However, you can enter the passcode manually and the problem should be resolved.

Bluetooth keyboard connected but not typing Windows 10 – This can be an annoying problem, but you should be able to fix it simply by disconnecting and pairing your keyboard with your PC again.

How can I fix Bluetooth keyboard problems on Windows 10? 1. Uninstall and reinstall the Bluetooth driver

Driver problems are one of the most common problems users are facing after the Windows 10 upgrade. So, just in case, you should go and check if your Bluetooth drivers are up to date.

We have to mention that sometimes after uninstalling the driver, Windows is able to reinstall the driver so you might not need to download a new driver from the manufacturer’s website.

1.2 Update drivers automatically

Often, your computer system might not be able to update the generic drivers for your hardware and peripherals correctly. There are vital differences between a generic driver and a manufacturer’s driver. Finding the correct driver versions for every hardware component can become tiresome.

That’s why a dependable updater can help you find and update your drivers automatically. We strongly suggest the Outbyte Driver Updater, and here’s how to do it:

Download and install the Outbyte Driver Updater app.

2. Run hardware and Device troubleshooter

Windows troubleshooter is Microsoft’s built-in tool which can solve a lot of system-related problems, and the problem with the Bluetooth keyboard may be one of them. To run the device troubleshooter, do the following:

3. Enter the pairing number manually

Many users reported issues while connecting their Bluetooth keyboard with Windows 10. According to them, they experienced issues with pairing.

Wait for a few moments and your Bluetooth keyboard should be paired with your Windows 10 PC.

4. Change keyboard settings

Expert tip:

5. Select OK, try entering passcode on it option

If you’re having problems pairing your Bluetooth keyboard with your Windows 10 PC, you might be able to solve the problem by entering the desired passcode on your Bluetooth keyboard.

As you can see, this is just a minor glitch, but you can fix it by using this option.

6. Pair your keyboard with your phone first

Pair your Bluetooth keyboard with your Android device.

After doing that, press the Connect button on the keyboard and turn off Bluetooth on your phone.

Now try to pair your keyboard again with your PC.

According to users, they managed to fix this problem by using a simple workaround. To fix this problem, first you need to pair your Bluetooth keyboard with an Android phone.

This is an unusual workaround, but several users reported that it works for them, so you might want to try it out. It seems that there’s a glitch that will prevent you from connecting the keyboard with your PC, but can easily fix it by using this workaround.

It’s worth mentioning that this is a long-term workaround, and it should work until you replace your keyboard batteries.

7. Try using a different USB port

If you’re having issues with Bluetooth keyboard and Windows 10, the problem might be related to your USB port. Sometimes certain devices won’t work with USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 ports, and that can cause this problem to appear.

To fix this, simply reconnect your Bluetooth receiver to a different port and check if that solves the problem. If you have USB 3.0 ports on your PC, connect your device to a USB 2.0 port and try to pair it again.

USB 3.0 port offers great transfer speed, however, your keyboard doesn’t require that kind of speed, so be sure to try using a USB 2.0 port instead.

8. Check other USB devices

If you’re having any problems with your Bluetooth keyboard, the issue might be caused by other USB devices. To fix this issue, be sure to disconnect any unnecessary USB devices from your PC and check if that solves the problem.

In addition, make sure that you remove any USB hubs that you have. If your Bluetooth receiver is connected to the USB hub, be sure to connect it directly to the PC and check if that solves the problem.

9. Change power saving options

Windows allows you to turn off certain devices in order to save power, but that can cause issues with Bluetooth keyboard. To fix that problem, you need to change power saving options for your keyboard.
