Microsoft has finally released Outlook Lite for Android devices, and from what we can tell, it performs quite well. From our understanding, Outlook Lite is not vastly different from the regular Outlook app for Android, but the differences are big enough to discuss.
As the name suggests, the Outlook Lite app is a version of the regular Outlook app that has a smaller footprint. It is designed for low and medium-range Android smartphones that have problems running the regular app.
At the moment, Outlook Lite is only available in selected countries, and they are as follows: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Mexico, Peru, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Venezuela.
If users can live without much of the features found in the regular Outlook app, then certainly they’ll find something to love about Outlook Lite, and we suspect Microsoft is counting on this.Outlook Lite vs Outlook apps compared
Now, its time for us to talk more about Outlook Lite and how it compares to regular Outlook.Outlook Lite vs Outlook: Which is better?
Outlook Lite has the core experience of Outlook, including access to emails, calendars, contacts, and more.
The first thing you will realize about the Outlook app is that it is smaller in size compared to Outlook. The size is around 5MB, which is significantly smaller than the 88MB of the other version, and that’s a good thing.
Outlook Lite has been optimized to run even on devices with 1GB of RAM or less.
Outlook Lite is expected to use less battery when compared to its bigger brother.
It works well on all networks, including 2G and 3G networks worldwide
The Outlook Lite app supports chúng tôi Hotmail, MSN, Live, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Exchange Online accounts.
If you need services like Microsoft Exchange Server, GMail, Yahoo! Mail, OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Box, then you should avoid Outlook Lite and go for Outlook.
Overall, the Outlook Lite app is perfect for those who want to send and receive emails. So, even if you have the most powerful Android device available, we would still recommend it because, for most people, the regular Outlook app for Android is overrun with unwanted features that will never be used. How to get Outlook Lite
To experience what Outlook Lite has to offer, you must first download the app to your Android smartphone of choice.
All you have to do is open the Google Play Store.

Outlook allows users to print attachments directly from the Outlook app via the Quick Print option. However, if the Outlook Quick Print is not working in Windows 11/10, here is how you can troubleshoot the issue. You need to follow these tips and tricks to enable Quick Print in Outlook and print attachments without leaving Outlook. What is Quick Print in Outlook?
Quick Print lets you print an attachment in Outlook without leaving the interface. You do not need to open the attachment in order to print it on your computer. It uses the default printer to print the attachment. However, if the Quick Print option is not working anymore, or opening the wrong printer, or not opening any printer at all, the following suggestions would be handy for you.Fix Outlook Quick Print not working
If Outlook Quick Print is not working for PDF, JPG, etc. on your Windows 11/10 computer, follow these suggestions:
Set default printer
Enable setting in Outlook
Use Printer Troubleshooter
Troubleshoot in Safe Mode of Outlook
To learn more about these steps, continue reading.1] Set default printer
By default, your computer manages all the assigned printers automatically, and this process works pretty well. However, if this system is not working for you or on your computer, you need to set the default printer manually.
No matter whether you have one or multiple printers attached to your computer, you can always use this option to choose one of them as your default printer. Following that, no matter which attachment you select, Outlook will use that printer to print the corresponding attachment.
To set the default printer in Windows 11/10, follow these steps:
Search for control panel in the Taskbar search box.
Choose the Set as default printer option.
Following that, check if the problem is resolved or not.2] Enable setting in Outlook
It is a manual method, but it works when you need to print the attachment as well as the entire email body. By default, Outlook doesn’t print the attachment, no matter whether you have an image, document, or anything else. However, if you enable this setting, Outlook will print your attachment as well.
For that, do the following:
Open the email containing the attachment.
Choose the printer you want to use.
Tick the Print attached files checkbox.
Now, Outlook will print the attachment alongside the email body.3] Use Printer Troubleshooter
As this problem may belong to the printer setting itself, you may need to use the Printer Troubleshooter to get it resolved. There are two troubleshooters you can use. The first one is the common Printer Troubleshooter that you can find by following these steps:
Press Win+I to open Windows Settings.
Find the Printer Troubleshooter.
Then, you need to follow the screen instructions to run this Troubleshooter.
The second Troubleshooter is device-specific. For that, you need to follow these steps:
Open the Windows Settings panel.
It will run the Troubleshooter automatically and immediately.4] Troubleshoot in Safe Mode of Outlook
In case you don’t know, you can open Outlook in Safe mode. Like the Windows Safe mode, Outlook’s Safe mode also excludes all external add-ins and settings. To open Outlook in Safe mode, press Win+R to open the Run prompt, type outlook /safe, and hit the Enter button.
If you find the same problem here, you need to follow other steps. However, if you do not find the same problem here, you need to close the Safe mode and disable all Outlook add-ins.5] Print manually
It is probably the last thing you need to do when none of the aforementioned solutions has worked for you. Although it is not a permanent solution, it works whenever you are in a hurry. For your information, you can always download the attachment and print it on your computers like any other document or image.

This article suggests solutions if you find that Autocomplete or Autofill is not working in Outlook. Autocomplete is an important feature in Outlook which suggests email addresses as soon as you type the initials. However, many users have reportedly encountered a problem where autocomplete doesn’t work properly in Outlook. This may occur due to a corrupted Autocomplete cache or an add-in or something else. If you are also facing the same issue, we got you covered. Here, we are going to mention various methods using which you should be able to fix the issue.Outlook Autocomplete Contacts List not working Autocomplete is not working in Outlook
These are the methods to try if Autocomplete or Autofill is not working correctly in Outlook:
Ensure that the Autocomplete setting is enabled.
Rename the RoamCache folder.
Disable Outlook Change Notifier add-in installed by iTunes.
Run Outlook in Safe Mode.
Create a new profile.
Let’s discuss these solutions in elaboration!1] Ensure that the Autocomplete setting is enabled
The first thing you need to try to fix this issue is to ensure that the Autocomplete option is turned on. For that, you can follow below steps:
In the Outlook Options wizard, navigate to the Mail tab.
Now, scroll down to the Send Messages section and make sure that the checkbox called Use AutoComplete List to suggest names when typing in the To, Cc, and Bcc lines is enabled. If not, enable it.
Now, if the autocomplete option is already enabled and still not working, you should try clearing out the Autocomplete list using the below steps:
After that, try sending some test emails to the same recipient and see if Autocomplete starts working or not. If not, consider using another method from this list to troubleshoot the problem.2] Rename the RoamCache folder
Another method that you can try is renaming the RoamCache folder. It will reset autocomplete, so you will lose all saved addresses in autocomplete list.
If the type is Microsoft Exchange, try the below steps:
Step 3: Now, press Windows + R hotkey to open the Run dialog box and enter the below address in it:%LOCALAPPDATA%MicrosoftOutlook
Step 4: In the opened directory, you will see a folder named RoamCache. Rename this folder as old_RoamCache.
Step 5: Restart the Outlook application.
Step 6: Now, you have to enable the Use Cached Exchange Mode checkbox that you previously disabled. Refer to the above Step (1) and Step (2) to do that.
Step 7: Finally, again restart Outlook and see if the autocomplete starts working again.
Note: In the case of a home email account, you can skip Step (1), Step (2), Step (6), and Step (7) and follow other steps to rename the RoamCache folder and reset Autocomplete.3] Disable Outlook Change Notifier add-in installed by iTunes
The autocomplete not working problem may also be triggered due to the Outlook Change Notifier add-in installed by iTunes. Try disabling it using the below steps and then check if the problem still persists:
Press the Go button present beside the Manage COM add-ins option.
In the Add-ins dialog window, locate the Outlook Change Notifier add-in and then uncheck it.4] Run Outlook in Safe Mode
If any other add-in is causing this problem, you should check Outlook in safe mode and see if the autocomplete feature works or not. Simply press Windows + R hotkey to open Run, write chúng tôi in it, and press the Enter button. It will start the Outlook application in safe mode without any add-in.
If the autocomplete works in safe mode, there might be some issues with add-ins installed. Disable all of them using the steps mentioned in Method (3). And then, restart Outlook and see if the issue is gone.5] Create a new profile
When no other solution works, you should try creating a new Outlook profile and see if the Autocomplete feature starts working again. This fixes up issues in Outlook generally also.
That’s it! Hope you are able to resolve Autocomplete not working in Outlook issue using the above methods.
Now read: Body of Emails or Text is missing in Outlook.
One of the great things about online email services like Gmail is that you never have to worry about things like autocomplete because all your contacts are stored in the cloud and Gmail automatically builds a giant index of everyone who has emailed you or everyone you have emailed. When you start typing a name or email address, it magically brings up all matching contacts!
Not so with Outlook 2024 or any previous version of Outlook. Nothing is stored in the cloud and therefore everything is based on local files. That is true for the autocomplete suggestion feature also. Basically, every time you type in a name or an email address in Outlook, it stores this into a file and so the next time you type that name or email, it will autocomplete it for you.
Table of Contents
Note: If you are in a corporate environment, then technically your contacts are being stored in the cloud (Exchange server).
If you have used Outlook for years, then your autocomplete database could be huge and if it suddenly stops working, it becomes a real pain to email someone! Sometimes autocomplete stops working because of problems with the PST file and other times it’s because of upgrading to a newer version of Outlook from previous versions. I’ve also run into the problem where the autocomplete will work within one session of Outlook, but the second you close it and open it again, the entries are all gone.
In this article, I’ll go through a few methods I’ve learned over the years to fix the autocomplete problem in Outlook and how to transfer the autocomplete suggestions from one Outlook to another.Repair PST File C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft OfficeOffice14
and running the chúng tôi file. Note that the path may be different depending on your version of Office. For example, if you are running a 64-bit version of Office and a newer version, then the path could be C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice15. Also, newer versions of Office may store the file in the following location:C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficerootOffice16
If you see that the repair tool fixed some problems with the PST file, then you’ll probably be lucky and the autocomplete should be working normally again, especially if it was resetting each time you closed and opened Outlook.Method 2 – Import NK2 Files
All versions of Outlook before 2010 stored this name/email information in a file with a NK2 extension. Outlook 2010 stores it differently and therefore you have to import this file if you’re trying to get suggestion data from an older version of Outlook into Outlook 2010.
Check out the above Microsoft KB article on how to do this. You can download their FixIT program and simply choose the NK2 file and it will do the rest for you. If you want to do it yourself, you can find the file in the following location for Outlook 2003/2007 running Windows 2000 or XP:C:Documents and SettingsUsernameApplication DataMicrosoftOutlook
For Outlook 2003/2007 running Windows Vista or 7:C:UsersUsernameAppDataRoamingMicrosoftOutlook
Now in order to import it into Outlook 2010, you need to make sure the NK2 file is located in this directory:C:UsersusernameAppDataRoaming outlook.exe /importnk2
That should import the name cache from an older version of Outlook into Outlook 2010.Method 3 – Empty the Autocomplete Cache
In some instances, to get this working again in Outlook, you may have to clear out the Autocomplete cache. If everything is gone already, then this won’t matter, but it should help with the problem of the cache resetting over and over again.Method 4 – Rename the RoamCache
You can also completely get rid of your current cache and start from scratch, which might be the only way to get the problem to go away. You simply have to rename the RoamCache folder to something else and Outlook will create a new one when you start up the program again.
For Windows Vista & 7:C:UsersUsernameAppDataLocalMicrosoftOutlookRoamCache
For Windows 2000 & XP:C:Documents and SettingsUsernameLocal SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlookRoamCache Method 5 – Edit NK2 File
Even though Outlook 2010/2013/2024 do not have a NK2 file specifically, they still store the info in a file, but with a different name. The name of the file is:Stream_Autocomplete_X_AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.dat
And it’s located in here:C:UsersUsernameAppDataLocalMicrosoftOutlookRoamCache
If you are on Windows XP with Outlook, then it’s here:C:Documents and SettingsUsernameLocal SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlookRoamCache
In Method 4, we renamed this RoamCache folder, but that delete everything and makes you start from scratch. If you just started having this problem, then you might be able to recover some of the name suggestions by opening this chúng tôi file in a program called NK2Edit:
The first thing you can try is to simply open the .dat file with NK2Edit and then close it. Make sure Outlook is closed when you do this. Then open Outlook and see if that fixed the problem. Note that this program will automatically detect if you have Outlook installed and will load up the cache file for you if it’s stored in the default location. You should see the autocomplete list instantly:
If it didn’t open or you can’t open it manually, then you need to create a new cache file and replace the current chúng tôi chúng tôi can do this by opening NK2Edit and going to File – New .NK2 File.
Then go to Actions and choose Add Records from Address Book.
Now do a File – Save As and browse to the location of the current cache file (stream_autocomplete) and change the Save as type to .dat instead of NK2.
For the file name, just select the current file that you will be replacing. That’s it! Kind of a long process, but it does work! And now you know how to totally fix and edit the autocomplete list yourself if you ever wanted to!
