Paladins has become quite popular over the course of a few months. Players love the new characters, game mechanics, and of course the fact that the game is free to paly.

However, not everything is a bed of roses in the Paladins universe. According to various players, the game is plagued with various bugs and issues. More or less annoying. To break it down for you, we’ve gathered some of the most common issue reports, and included them in this article.

So, if you’ve been experiencing some issues while playing Paladins, we want you to know that you’re not alone. Also, if you haven’t played the game yet, you should keep these in mind.

Paladins reported issues Invisible crosshair

“Sometimes, when i reload, my crosshair goes invisible and then reappears with my next reload. This might be gamebreaking for some players. Let’s hope they fix it.”

Other people from the thread suggest that pressing the Tab button solves the problem. Additionally, they also suggest one extra reloading, however there’s an ongoing discussion about whether that one extra reload could cost you a game. We’ll let you decide whether that’s correct or not.

Not receiving awards

Another player says he’s unable to receive rewards for winning games:

“Im not recieving any rewards for winning games, not exp, not gold, etc…. Im playing casual ina party with 2 friends, one of them is having the same problem, the other one not….”

HirezProxyLaunch has stopped working

Apparently, there’s a major problem with the “HirezProxyLaunch has stopped working” error, which prevents players from launching the game. There are numerous reports about this issue all around the internet. People have tried various solutions, but the problem still appears.

“Every time I try to launch Paladins, I face an immediate error popup saying “HirezProxyLaunch has stopped working”, with subtext saying the usual “Windows is checking for a solution to the problem…” just for the popup to close out on its own with no actual solution found or suggested.”

SMITE players had to deal with the same issue recently. However, the solution that helped them is not useful in this case. So, we’re sure players would like to know what’s going on.

All skins got unequipped

Some players have problems keeping their skins equipped on their characters. According to one player on the forums, skinks constantly get unequipped. Unfortunately, no one has a viable solution for this problem so far.

“Failed to initialize assembly file” error message

There’s another error that prevents players from opening the game. One user has reported the “Failed to initialize assembly file” error message, that appears every time he tries to launch Paladins.

“Guys Pls Help me once i try to open paladins this error message appaer “failed to initialize assembly file”  Help Me PLS”

Another player from the threat suggests that verifying the game cache resolves the issue, but nobody else confirmed this solution.

Unable to watch Replays

Expert tip:

“Hey guys i wanted to watch a replay from my game but its just saying “” What to do?”

Unfortunately, we only managed to find more and more issue reports, but no confirmed solutions. So, it looks like the majority of players is experiencing the issue, but no one actually knows how to resolve it.

Login issues

We’re not done with launching issues. This time, one player says that he’s unable to login into the game.

“I can access the launcher, Pressed “Play”, Then Paladins came up, “Logging in”, Then “Loading Your Profile” Comes up and does not take me to the main menu. I have restarted Steam and no effect.”

Unfortunately, no one answered the thread, so the solution for this problem still remains unknown.

Audio problem Mid-game crashes

And finally, one player says that he experiences crashes mid-game, because of the server issues.

Anyone else get crash? Or only me?”

Once again, no one had a proper solution for this problem, so we can’t tell you more about it.

That’s about it for our list of the recently reported problems in Paladins. If we take the number of reports into account, it looks like the game desperately needs a new patch.

But don’t get us wrong on this one, we still think Paladins is a great game, worth your time. It’s just that some players might get more lucky with issues than others.

Dead Age Issues: Game Crashes, Quests Won’t Launch And More

Dead Age issues: game crashes, quests won’t launch and more

Dead Age is a challenging survival game where players need to manage survivors, craft materials, and make difficult decisions. The zombie outbreak puts your life in danger and the thought of permanent death will definitely force you to do your best to survive. Defend your camp against hordes of the undead and stay alert all the time because you never know when the next zombie army strikes again.

Unfortunately, many gamers have already reported various Dead Age issues, ranging from locked quests to game crashes. For the time being, there are no workarounds available to fix these bugs.

Dead Age reported bugs 1. Quest won’t trigger

In the past I remember it triggering in the earlier parts of the forest. This time I was in the 12+ areas and still nothing…

2. Early missions are too lengthy and health items too scarce

Players also criticize the overall game set up, and complain that health items are difficult to get and early missions take too long to complete, sentencing your companion to die before you reach your destination. Other players went as far as to say that the game is based more on luck, than on strategy.

All of my first missions are these “Date” missions that seem to have no end. If you skip the prologue, you begin with no medical supplies, no crafting supplies, no materials to buy supplies. Since there is no way to avoid damage, and given the length of the mission, your companion is doomed to die before your destination.

3. The game crashes

Expert tip:

You can sometimes find civialliens that stay after the battle and will fight in the next battles until they die. this is most likely a bug but not the real problem just a part of it. […] when i reached position 4 with a wave fight the game broke. nothing happens after the fight just an event picture with the open truck but no options to select from. this is the secound time this happend and i’m just playing an hour.

4. Audio bugs

Players also report that all attack command audios are only on the left speaker. This configuration is fine with range attacks, but not with melee attacks. When using headphones, this can get really annoying because gamers hear audio only on one ear. This becomes even more bugging when the action takes place on the right side of the screen.

5. Controller issues

Dead Age’s developers added controller support only recently and already rolled out an update while the game was still in beta to fix certain controller bugs. However, some gamers report they can’t accept the pop-up “Gamepad is active and mouse is deactivated.”

The controller support was the only reason i bought the game. The first message in the menu was a popup “gamepad is active and mouse is deactivated…. ok” all i have is my controller and i can not accept this message, ok i connected via remote to my pc and tried to deativated this message than i received a new message ” mouse is active controller deactivated” I tried every button on my x360 controller but i can not accept the popup 🙁

Friday the 13th: The Game brings Jason back. As a player, you’ll take either on the role of Jason Voorhees, or that of a Camp Crystal Lake counselor. Then, together with six other innocent souls, you’ll try to stay alive while the most well-known killer in the world tracks you down.

Gamers report that Friday the 13th is affected by a series of technical issues, ranging from server connection issues to DLC key problems.

Friday the 13th: The Game reported bugs 1. Database Login Failure on the server connection

Many players report that they can’t connect to the game’s servers due to the “Database Login Failure” error. It appears that this error occurs because servers are overloaded.

My internet is on and working and I couldn’t get the game to get online the entire day.

If you’ve encountered this error, use the following two workarounds to fix the problem:

Go to your anti-virus/firewall and turn off all scanning of the network traffic for the game.

Reinstall the game and the anti-cheat program

Some players reported that these two solutions helped them connect to Friday the 13th’s servers. Hopefully, they’ll do the trick for you as well.

2. Mouse sensitivity issues

its either super slow or super fast, super fast sometimes on .01 sens and super slow somtimes on the highest sens. i play at 600 dpi so nothin crazy, wtf is going on.

3. The game won’t work on the latest Windows 10 build

Players running Windows 10 build 16199 can’t launch Friday the 13th due to the “Invalid Game Executable” error.

I am experiencing the same issue on this build of Windows. Launching the game throws an error “Invalid Game Executable…” and then the path to SummerCamp.exe

4. Profile data won’t save

Whenever I unlock and place a grab kill for jason it gets stuck while saving every time. I can only get out by joining a friend’s game through steam tray but other than that only solution is Alt+F4 ing the game and when I open it once more all my kill grab slots are emptied. Any help would be appreciated..

5. The controller randomly turns on players’ voices

For some reason if I use my controller it just has my voice turned on all the time.

For the time being, there is no workaround available to fix this problem. You can try repairing the game with the Steam client. We can’t say with certainty whether this will help.

6. Savini and clothing DLC Key Issues

[…] Something is funky with the Savini skin and clothing packs. Those backers that got those items; we are working on trying to figure out what the issue is.  Literally working on it at this moment, should know soon! Keys should be downloading…but for some reason the content is not showing in-game.

Airpods Max Tidbits: Charging, Audio Output, Water Resistance, Gaming And More

The AirPods Max, Apple’s premium $549 noise-canceling headphones unveiled on December 8, 2023, can now be pre-ordered ahead of retail availability which starts next Tuesday, December 15. To help our readers reach an informed purchasing decision, the iDB team has created a compilation of the various tidbits regarding the latest over-ear headphones from Apple.

AirPods Max tidbits

Key features

The AirPods Max support adaptive EQ, active noise cancellation with Transparency mode, spatial audio, a custom acoustic design, audio sharing, automatic device switching, Siri capabilities and more. For those wondering about adaptive EQ, it’s a new Apple feature that adjusts the sound to the fit and seal of the ear cushions by measuring the sound signal delivered to a user and then adjusting the low and mid-frequencies appropriately, in real-time.

Bluetooth capabilities

Water resistance

Apple has not made any claims about water resistance.

Find My compatibility

The AirPods Max don’t work with the Find My app.

Gaming headphones?

The AirPods Max are not meant to be used as gaming headphones. You would never want to use them for gaming due to Bluetooth latency, audio compression, no audio mixing, etc.

Where’s the Apple U1 chip?

The AirPods Max are not equipped with Apple’s U1 chip with ultra-wideband networking for improved spatial awareness. Found in the iPhone 11 and later (and some other devices), it enables much higher accuracy than Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi and is used for directional AirDrop. In the future, it’s expected to be used in Apple’s rumored AirTag item-tracking accessory.

Apple H1 chip for that AirPods magic

Audio hardware

The AirPods Max headphones are equipped with Apple’s custom 40mm dynamic driver for deep bass, accurate mid-ranges and clean high-frequency extension. A dual neodymium ring magnet motor permits the headphones to maintain total harmonic distortion of less than one percent across the entire audible range, even at maximum volume.

A bunch of microphones

There are nine microphones total: Eight beam-forming microphones (four in each ear cup) are used for active noise cancellation and three outward-facing ones pick up your voice and detect environmental noise (two are shared with active noise cancellation while one inward-facing microphone inside each ear cup monitors the sound reaching your ear).

Multiple sensors

There are multiple sensors in each ear cup: optical sensor, position sensor, case-detect sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope. The optical and position sensors detect when the headphones are on your head. With on-head detection, your AirPods Max automatically pause audio when you take them off and resume playback when you put them back on.

The gyroscope and accelerometer sensors are used for spatial audio: they track the motion of both your head and your host device to remap the sound field in real-time so that it stays anchored to the host device like your iPhone even as your head moves.

The Digital Crown and other buttons

You’ll find two buttons on the right ear cup. One cycles between active noise cancellation and Transparency mode and the other, inspired by the Apple Watch’s Digital Crown, lets you precisely control the volume, play/pause, skip tracks, invoke Siri or answer/end calls: Turn the Digital Crown to adjust the volume, press it once to play, pause or answer/end a phone call, press twice to skip forward, press three times to skip back and press and hold for Siri.

— Matthew Panzarino (@panzer) December 8, 2023

Ways to output audio

The AirPods Max are cordless headphones, but there’s a Lightning port built into the right ear cup that can be used for wired audio, in addition to charging. You can also connect your AirPods Max to a host device via an optional Lightning to 3.5 mm headphone jack cable (Apple’s 1.2-meter cable costs $35). To use the headphones with studio setups, you’ll need an adapter. The headphones do not support USB audio, as noted by Jason Snell.

— Jason Snell (@jsnell) December 8, 2023

Ear cups and replacement cushions

Each ear cushion attaches magnetically to the headband through a mechanism that allows the aluminum ear cups to independently pivot and rotate in order to fit the contours of your head and balance pressure. You’ll find the woven “L” and “R” in each ear cup, like with many other over-ear headphones. Replacement ear cushions are coming soon, priced at $69 for a set of Apple-made left and right ear cushions.

Potential weight fatigue

Due to their stainless steel telescoping headband frame and arms, the AirPods Max weigh 13.6 ounces, or about 384 grams (including cushions). That’s heavier than many premium over-ear headphones on the market, prompting concerns of potential wear fatigue. Apple claims that the breathable knit mesh canopy spanning the headband was designed to distribute weight and reduce on-head pressure. The included Smart Case weighs in at 134.5 grams.

Color combinations

There are five different color finishes to choose from. The AirPods Max headbands are available in color finishes that are very similar to the iPhone 12 family: white/silver, black/space gray, blue and pink/red. The casings, however, are the iPad Air colors, as observed by Rene Ritchie. With replacement ear cushions, as first observed by MacRumors graphics designer Ryan Barrieau, you can mix and match colors for a total of 25 possible combinations.

Battery life

The AirPods Max are rated with up to 20 hours of listening, movie watching or talk time on a single charge with active noise cancellation/Transparency mode enabled or spatial audio turned on. A quick-charge function provides around 1.5 hours of listening time with just five minutes of charge time. The headphones are recharged through the built-in Lightning port.

The included charge cable lets you top up the AirPods Max battery by connecting the headphones to a USB-C charger or a USB-C port on your computer. You can also use the USB-A to Lightning cable that came with your iPhone for charging purposes. Storage in the included Smart Case preserves battery charge in an ultra-low-power state. As noted by Matthew Panzarino, these headphones do not function without a charge passively. An out-of-warranty battery replacement service is priced at $79.

Warranty and AppleCare+

The AirPods Max include Apple’s limited 1-year warranty. Optional AppleCare+ coverage, priced at $59 (or under $10 per month for six months), extends your coverage to two years from the product’s purchase date. AppleCare also gets you coverage for two accidental damage incidents per 12 months, each subject to a service fee of $29, along with battery service coverage. An out-of-warranty battery replacement service for the headphones is priced at $79. AppleCare+ can be added at checkout or online within 60 days of your purchase.

Free engraving

The AirPods Max are available with free engraving when purchased through the online Apple store or in the Apple Store app. The option, available at checkout, lets you engrave a mix of emoji, text (like your initials) and numbers to customize the appearance of your headphones. Apple’s support staff has confirmed to MacRumors that engraved headphones can be returned. Your headphones may ship faster if you choose an engraving than without it.

Delivery estimates

The AirPods Max are currently back-ordered for several weeks, with delivery estimates well into January, with most colors listed to start shipping sometime in February or even March 2023. However, you can get your AirPods Max quicker if you choose an engraving.

Pricing and availability

The AirPods Max can now be pre-ordered on chúng tôi and in the Apple Store app for $549 ahead of retail availability beginning next Tuesday, December 15. At launch, they’ll be available in the United States and more than 25 other countries and regions.

System requirements

The AirPods Max AirPods Max are compatible with the iPhone and iPod touch devices running the iOS 14.3 software or later, iPad tablets with the iPadOS 14.3 update or later, Mac computers powered by macOS Big Sur 11.1 or later, Apple Watch smartwatches with watchOS 7.2 or later and Apple TV media streamers running tvOS 14.3 or later.

In the box

Your purchase includes a Smart Case with a pair of AirPods Max headphones  inside, plus a Lightning to USB-C cable for charging and printed documentation with Apple stickers. A charging brick and a Lightning to 3.5mm cable are not included in the box.

Environmental impact

The AirPods Max reduce environmental impact by being brominated flame retardant–free, PVC-free and beryllium-free.

AirPods Max in AR

To interact with a three-dimensional model of the AirPods Max on your iOS device, including exploring the headphones in augmented reality, point the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad at chúng tôi then tap graphics in the section labeled with the text “Use AR to see the new AirPods Max” near the bottom of the page.

Technical specifications

Promotional videos

Apple has so far shared an 80-second hands-on video walkthrough, highlighting the key features of the AirPods Max, along with the inaugural ad titled “Journey Into Sound”. The product introduction video is narrated by Evans Hankey, Apple’s Vice President of Industrial Design, which is her first stint as an Apple narrator. Both videos are embedded right ahead.

Missing features

Looks like they made some changes on these to get them out the door as was deemed likely after several development set backs over the past many months — not seeing swappable bands, and Apple Watch Digital Crown instead of touch panels, and left and right sides aren’t reversible.

— Mark Gurman (@markgurman) December 8, 2023

Some of the other predictions that didn’t come true include swappable headbands, reversible L/R ear cups for easy switching between the right and left side so you could wear the headphones either way around, and so forth.

Windows 10 Build 14955 Issues: Unresponsive Apps, Edge Crashes And More

Windows 10 build 14955 issues: unresponsive apps, Edge crashes and more

Microsoft just released the new build 14955 for Windows 10 Preview. The new build is available to all Insiders on the Fast Ring on both Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile.

Build 14955 doesn’t bring any noticeable feature to Insiders who installed it. On the other hand, it solves some of the previously known issues and bugs and brings a few more system enhancements. And just like every Windows 10 build, build 14955 also causes some issues of its own.

Microsoft already listed some of the issues affecting Windows 10 build 14955, but as you probably know, that’s not an accurate report as there are many more issues affecting users.

We checked out Microsoft’s forums to look for problems reported by actual users, and we found some issues that Microsoft didn’t list under ‘Known issues’. In this article, we’re going to let you know about the issues we’ve found and try to find solutions for at least some of them.

Windows 10 build 14955 reported issues

As always, we start off our report article with the installation issues, reported by users all over Microsoft’s forum. But this time, it looks like Mobile users are much more affected by installation issues than their peers on PC. As Microsoft already acknowledged and addressed this issue, we’re not going to talk about it in this post. If you’re having problems with installing the latest build on your Windows 10 Mobile device, check out this post.

The fact that mainly Mobile users experience build installation issues doesn’t mean PC users don’t. However, it looks like very few Insiders have encountered this problem on PC, so we can finally say that Microsoft delivered a build that’s not so hard to install. Here’s what two users who actually have installation problems say:

I had the same problem with 14951 which I could not get passed. I have run the Windows Update Troubleshooter several times but still it hangs.  Any suggestions???

My system got to 80% of the installation process and then failed. A restart of the system triggered a roll back. Any recommendations on how to get it installed?

Microsoft actually acknowledged this issue by saying those who have a third-party antivirus program installed on their computers might face build installation errors. But since various things can prevent a new build from downloading and installing, we’ve decided to mention this problem in our post.

Expert tip:

One Insider complained on the forums of problems with the Feedback Hub app in build 14955. Apparently, the Feedback Hub doesn’t work anymore and when uninstalled, won’t install again. Here’s what the Insider who reported this issues said:

Fortunately, another user had a proper solution for this problem. If you’re facing this issue as well, uninstall the Feedback Hub from the Settings app and then install it from the Store once again. If you’re not sure how to do that, we’ve prepared a set of instructions for you:

Open the Settings app

Once the app is fully uninstalled, head over to the Windows Store, search for the Feedback Hub, and install it once again.

Another user reports he’s unable to find homegroups in Windows 10 build 14955. Here’s what he said:

Insider Preview computer can no longer find existing homegroup. Homegroup still exists and other 2 computers on 14393 are still functioning normally. Any suggestion ? Other than removing them and starting again ?

Unfortunately, no one from the forums had a proper solution for this problem. We have an article about problems with finding a Homegroup in Windows 10, so if you’re facing this problem as well, check it out.

Issues with web browsers are quite common in the last few Windows 10 builds. It looks like web browsers still don’t work properly for some Insiders on build 14955. This time, one user reports that Internet Explorer randomly crashes when he tries to open a certain web page.

Surface Pro 3 Build 14955 . Internet Explorer seems to be having some issues. The below error is with home page set to chúng tôi I also get the same message if I try to open a link in Facebook.

Unfortunately, no one had a proper solution for this problem, but a few more people confirmed they have similar problems. This is a sign for Microsoft to pay more attention to browser stability in Windows 10 builds, and deliver a permanent fix soon.

Vpn Not Working In Windows 11/10 – Fix Vpn Problems & Issues

A VPN is used by many either to make sure they are not traceable throughout the internet or sometimes its work that needs them to connect to VPN to be on a secure network. Sometimes, network issues result in an error, and you are not able to connect. Either the website doesn’t load, or you are not able to log in to a network using VPN.

Just before we start, here are some basic troubleshooting tips you need to try to fix VPN issues on Windows 11/10. First, make sure your Windows 11/10 is updated to the latest version. Some updates fix known issues around VPN which helps instantly. Second, reinstall the network drivers to the latest version or try some old drivers to see if that fixes.  Lastly, the issue could be as simple as Cached DNS. Even though you had changed it, the computer uses an old address. So you may want to flush the DNS cache. You can also check if your router needs an update. The information will be available with the Web Interface of the router.

VPN not working in Windows 11/10 1] Change VPN Protocol

Open your VPN Settings and change the VPN Protocol. Setting it to OpenVPN has helped many get over this issue.

2] Reinstall VPN Software

If you are using a VPN software, instead of the inbuilt VPN feature of Windows 10, it is always a good idea to reinstall it. Many a time the configuration of the software is the root cause of the problem, and simple reinstallation fixes. Also, do cross-check if your VPN software subscription has expired.

3] Reinstall WAN MiniPorts

WAN Miniports are drivers for various types of network connections. WAN Miniport (IP), WAN Miniport(IPv6) and WAN Miniport (PPTP) are used for VPN connections, i.e., connection to a PPTP VPN server.  You can easily reinstall the drivers again using Windows.

Open Device Manager

Find Network Adapters

Uninstall WAN Miniport (IP), WAN Miniport(IPv6) and WAN Miniport (PPTP).

The adapters you just uninstalled should come back

Try connecting again. Hopefully, you should be good to go.

4] Troubleshoot TAP-Windows Adapter

These are virtual network kernel devices i.e. software-based, and offer virtual TAP device functionality on the Windows OS. Many a time this is required the VPN software to work properly. We would highly recommend you to check out our tutorial on TAP-Windows Adapters.

5 Insert an Exception for UDP by editing The Registry

UDP or User Datagram Protocol is another way of transmitting data, just like TCP. However, UDP is used primarily for establishing low-latency and loss-tolerating connections between applications on the internet. Many VPN software and even Windows uses it. If there is a security issue around it, it fails i.e. UDP needs to establish security associations when both the server and the Windows PC.

Follow these steps to access Registry Editor. You may need to create or update new input.

Backup your registry. In the search bar, type regedit and open the Registry Editor from the list of the results

Navigate to:

Type AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule and then press ENTER.

In the Value Data box, type  2. A value of 2 configures Windows so that it can establish security associations when both the server and the Windows-based VPN client computer are behind NAT devices.

Reboot, and try again.

6] Configure Firewall

Windows Firewall makes sure that no unsecured or unauthorized connection gets access to your PC. Windows Firewall might disable or lock those requests from the VPN software, assuming it to be a threat. You need to allow the VPN through the Fiirewall.

In the Search bar, type Firewall and select ”Allow an app through Windows Firewall”.

In the huge list, look for your VPN software. Make sure to make sure that both the Public and Private networks are enabled.

If your software is not listed, you can find it manually using Allow another app.

Confirm changes and try connecting through your VPN again.

Read: VPN not hiding or changing Location

7] Disable IPv6

Many a time IPv6 may cause a problem connecting to the network. While the default is still set to IPv4, you can cross check by disabling IPv6 and run everything on IPv4. Every VPN creates a software-based network adapter. You just need to change adapter settings for this VPN to IPv4.

Open Network and Internet and then Network and Sharing Center.

Select Change adapter settings from the left pane.

Uncheck the box beside IPv6 and confirm changes.

Reboot your PC if you have to and try again.
