1] Initial checklist

Before you try anything else, make sure you tick all the boxes on the following pre-task and see if the VPN software will start normally without throwing any error message.

Assuming that you are using the latest Cisco AnyConnect application, couple of things to check off your list:

Did you install the VPN client as an administrator AND running the program as an administrator? In any case, you can try these options: allow Standard users to run a Program with Admin rights, login as an Administrator before attempting to install or run the program, and you can grant or get Elevated Privileges.

It might not seem to matter or obvious, but it will save you many minor ‘headaches’ caused by slightly outdated Windows version/build; always check for updates and install any available bits on your Windows 11/10 device and see if the error reappears.

2] Check essential Cisco AnyConnect Services

Investigations revealed that a couple of main services especially Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Agent service associated with the VPN client in question triggers the VPN Agent Service is not responding or starting on your Windows 11/10 system. In this case, to resolve the issue in hand, you may need to change its Startup Type to Manual or Automatic if it is Disabled before it will allow you to start it.

Do the following:

Press Windows key + R to invoke the Run dialog.

In the Run dialog box, type chúng tôi and hit Enter to open Services.

In the Services window, scroll and locate the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Agent service.

Next, make sure the service is started.

Relaunch the Cisco AnyConnect VPN software.

If you confirm all services are set as suggested, but the issue remains, you can restart your PC and see if that helps.

3] Reinstall Cisco AnyConnect VPN software

For most affected PC users, what worked for them is Solution 1]. But in the event this isn’t the case for you, reinstalling the VPN client should get the job done! And when you uninstall, make sure all the files from the AnyConnect installation directory are deleted (if not, delete them manually). So, to uninstall the software, we recommend using any of the free third-party software uninstaller for Windows 11/10. Once the clean uninstall is completed, you can download the latest version of the software and install normally on your device.

If the issue persists, try the next solution.

4] Reset Windows 11/10

In the unlikely event neither of the solutions above worked for you to fix the error in view, then it’s safe to assume you may be facing some sort of system corruption. In this case, you can reset Windows 11/10 with the option to keep your personal files. Once the reset procedure completes successfully on your device, you can then reinstall the latest version of the software.

Hope this helps!

Red Dead Redemption 2 Not Launching Or Starting Full Screen

Why won’t my RDR2 go fullscreen?

The reason why your Red Dead Redemption 2 (or RDR2) game won’t go full screen could be the outdated graphics card drivers. It may also don’t start in full-screen mode if the game is not launched with administrative privileges. You should also make sure that the game resolution is set as per your computer display. In addition, you can open Rockstart Games Launcher, access Settings, select Red Dead Redemption 2 game, and select the fullscreen option in the Launch arguments section.

Red Dead Redemption 2 not Launching or Starting full screen

If Red Dead Redemption 2 not Launching or Starting full screen on your Windows 11/10 PC here are some suggestions that are sure to help you.

Update your Windows and graphics drivers.

Update your Rockstar Games Launcher.

Run Red Dead Redemption 2 as an administrator.

Whitelist the game through your antivirus/ firewall.

Verify the integrity of the game.

Clear the Settings folder.

Delete your launcher profile details.

Run an SFC scan.

Let us discuss the above fixes to resolve the problem.

1] Update your Windows and graphics drivers

In addition to updating Windows, you also need to make sure that you have up-to-date graphics drivers. Outdated or faulty graphics drivers cause various gaming issues on PC including a problem with launching the game. So, if you want to avoid game launch and other performance issues, update your GPU drivers to their latest version.

You can update graphics drivers on Windows 11/10 using the following methods:

Another method is to go to the official website of the device manufacturer and download the most recent version of your graphics driver. Then, run the installer and complete the installation.

Device Manager can also be used to update GPU card drivers using the below steps:

Launch Device Manager from the Win+X menu.

Go to the Display adapters category and expand the respective menu.

Complete the update process by following the prompted guide.

You can also use free driver update software using which you can automatically update your graphics and other system drivers.

After updating Windows and graphics drivers, try launching the Red Dead Redemption 2 game and see if the problem is fixed or not. In case you are still able to launch the game, try the next potential fix to resolve the issue.

2] Update your Rockstar Games Launcher

The problem might be caused because of outdated Rockstar Games Launcher. So, if the scenario is applicable, you should be able to fix the issue. For that, first, exit the launcher. And then, restart it and let it download available updates. After that, relaunch Rockstar Games Launcher and see if you are able to start the Red Dead Redemption 2 game.

3] Run Red Dead Redemption 2 as an administrator

In many instances, you might be unable to launch the game if it lacks due administrator privilege to run. Hence, if the scenario is applicable, simply run the game with admin rights and see if it works properly or not. Here are the steps to do so:

Next, select the Open under View Installation Folder option to open its installation location on your PC.

Then, navigate to the Compatibility tab and enable the checkboxes called Run this program as an administrator and Disable fullScreen optimization.

Now, try launching the game and see if it starts or not. If not, there might be some other underlying cause of the issue at hand. So, move on to the next potential fix to resolve it.

4] Whitelist the game through your antivirus/ firewall

The game might be blocked due to your overprotective antivirus suite blocking it because of some false positive alarm. To make sure that’s the cause, you can try disabling your antivirus for some time and then launch the game. If it launches properly, you can be sure that your antivirus was the main culprit. In that case, you can add the concerned game to the exclusion/ exception list of your antivirus.

You can check the same with your firewall. If it is at the fault, try whitelisting the game through your firewall to fix the issue.

If this doesn’t work, you can try the next method to fix the issue.

5] Verify the integrity of the game

If you are still unable to launch the game, there are chances that the issue is caused due to corrupted game files of Red Dead Redemption 2. So, to fix the corrupted or missing game files and the issue at hand, you can try verifying the integrity of your game files. Here is how to do that:

Firstly, open the Rockstar Games Launcher application.

Now, tap on the Settings option which you can find in the top-right section of its GUI.

Next, select the Red Dead Redemption 2 game from the My installed games section.

Once the process is done, a confirmation message will pop up after which you can try relaunching the game to check if the problem is fixed or not.

Steam users can follow the below steps to verify and repair game files of Red Dead Redemption 2:

Firstly, launch Steam and navigate to the game LIBRARY.

Next, go to the LOCAL FILES tab and select the VERIFY GAME INTEGRITY button to start the game files’ verification process.

After that, try relaunching the game and see if the issue is resolved or not.

6] Clear the Settings folder

If the game’s Settings folder is corrupted or has broken files, you are likely to experience a launch issue with the game. So, if the scenario is applicable, you can try deleting the Settings folder to fix the issue. However, it is recommended to create a backup of the folder at some other location (e.g., Desktop) to be on the safer side.

Here is how you can clear the Settings folder:

Firstly, close Rockstar Game Launcher and related processes by using Task Manager.

After that, press the Windows logo key and E hotkey to open File Explorer.

Now, go to Documents and select the folder named Rockstar Games.

Next, find the folder named Settings and then delete it.

Finally, try launching the game and see if the problem is fixed.

7] Delete your launcher profile details

In a few instances, corrupted profile details also cause launch problems with your game. So, if your game launcher’s profile details are corrupted, you can try deleting the details to fix the issue. Here is how to do that:

Firstly, start Rockstar Games Launcher and choose SETTINGS.

Next, confirm the deletion process.

After that, re-login to the game launcher and launch the Red Dead Redemption 2 game to check if the issue is fixed or not.

8] Run an SFC scan

If none of the above solutions worked for you, the issue might lie with your system itself. It is likely that there are corrupted system files on your PC that are preventing the game from launching. Hence, if the scenario is applicable, you should be able to fix the issue by performing an SFC scan.

System File Checker or SFC is an in-built tool in Windows that enables you to fix corrupted system files. Here is how to run an SFC scan:

Firstly, start an elevated command prompt window.

Next, enter the following command and wait for it to complete:

sfc /scannow

After that, reboot your PC and try relaunching your game to see if the problem is fixed or not.

Hopefully, this helps!

How To Fix Steam Is Frozen Or Not Responding In Windows

Sometimes Steam just freezes on itself. And you can’t do anything but stare at your screen, hoping it will start working normally.

While there isn’t an exact explanation why this happens, user reports say that it mainly occurs when they are trying to log in or download a new game.

Well, whatever the case, if you are here because your Steam keeps freezing or not responding, then worry not! We have all the fixes related to this problem.

Programs generally start freezing when your processor doesn’t have enough memory. So a simple reboot of your PC should be enough to fix this issue.

However, if your Steam still keeps freezing even after the system reboot, you can take a look at these methods that have fixed this issue for many users.

Apps keep crashing and freezing in Windows all the time. And you shouldn’t take it as a big deal. If you are facing this issue, simply restarting your Steam Client does the trick most of the time.

To do that:

See if the problem is fixed, and you can use Steam normally without any issue. If it doesn’t work, you can move on to the next method.

These annoying freezing and not responding issues can also be fixed by deleting web browser cache and download.

However, if your Steam only stops responding randomly and you can still interact with it, you can follow these steps:

Now, close the Steam client and relaunch it. See if your problem is gone now. If it is still the same, you can try the next method.

Broken or corrupted files on your Steam directory can also cause this issue. You can use this method to fix the broken or corrupted files on your Steam Directory.

To use this method:

When this process is completed, it opens a brand new Steam login window. Now, log in to your Steam account by using your Username and Password. See if you can run Steam without any freezes or lags. If it’s still freezing, you can try this next method.

If your PC is missing some major or important updates, it can result in some rare cases where the programs stop responding and freeze randomly. So checking if you have some missing updates is always a good idea.

Follow these steps to update Windows:

If you have missing updates, it will automatically download and install them. After it is successfully installed, you can restart your PC and launch Steam to see if your issue is fixed.

Your outdated driver might be the cause of this problem too. Outdated or corrupted drivers are known to cause many problems for Windows users. So updating your graphics driver can fix this problem as well.

To update your graphics driver:

After your driver has been updated, restart your PC and launch Steam. Check if your problem is fixed. If not, you can move on to the next step.

Some apps are launched automatically when you start your Windows. When you have a lot of these apps, they can rack up quite a bit of memory and resources, which causes other apps to freeze randomly. To prevent this issue, you can disable them from auto-launching in Task Manager.

To do that:

After the restart, launch Steam and see if it runs normally without any issue.

Temp files are basically temporary files that your PC no longer needs. These files are created by Windows and programs you use, and can sometimes take up a lot of space on your PC. Cleaning the temp files regularly ensures that your PC is running smoothly.

To delete your temp files:

After this, close the File Explorer and launch Steam from the desktop. Check if the freezing problem is gone. If not, you can move on to the next method.

You might face this problem when you have corrupted files in your Steam directory. You can fix this issue by repairing your SteamService.exe file. But before running this troubleshooting method, make sure you’ve closed your Steam Client app.

Here’re the steps:

Running this command will open up the terminal on your PC and run some scripts. The terminal closes by itself when this process is completed, so you don’t have to do anything. Just sit back and let it do its thing.

Now, launch Steam from your desktop. Your problem should be fixed by now. If it’s still lagging and freezing, you can try the next method.

If none of the methods worked and you’re still having the same issue, you can try reinstalling Steam as a last resort. To proceed with this method, you can follow these methods:

After the installation process is complete, log in to your account using your Username and Password. Check if it runs normally and there are no freezing issues.

These methods are usually enough to solve the freezing issues in Steam. However, if you’re still having the problem even after you’ve tried all of these methods, you can try updating your date & time, and disabling your VPN and antivirus programs.

How To Set Up Apple Tv When Remote Is Lost Or Not Responding

Apple TV remotes are notorious for disappearing. They are small, thin and easily eaten by couches and other upholstered furniture. They can hide under almost anything. Many with lost Apple TV remotes eventually conclude their long lost remote must have been accidentally discarded in the trash, somehow.

In this article, we will let you know how you can set up your Apple TV without using a remote. Not having a remote can make an initial set up of your Apple TV difficult. However, even if you are setting it up for the first time, or setting it up as new, there are ways to make this work without a remote.

As many people already know, you can use your iPhone (or iPad) to control your Apple TV with the Remote app. This only works, however, if your Apple TV and your iPhone are connected to the same router. If you are setting up your Apple TV, it may not already be set up to connect to your internet. We will outline a couple of options for completing the setup in this case.

Apple TV Setup without a Remote

Before you Begin:

Your Apple TV must be connected to your television. This is done using an HDMI cable.

Your Apple TV must be powered on. If it isn’t, you can just unplug it from the power source, and then plug it back in.

Setup Options Use a Bluetooth Keyboard

If you have a Bluetooth keyboard around, you can use this to set up your Apple TV. Keep your iPhone handy to simplify the Apple ID and Wi-Fi setup.

After powering on your Apple TV, make sure your Bluetooth keyboard is near the Apple TV and then put your keyboard in pairing mode.

When a code appears on your TV, enter it on the keyboard.

Use the keyboard’s arrow keys and enter key to navigate during the setup process.

If asked whether you want to setup Apple ID and Wi-Fi using the keyboard or do it automatically using an iOS device, choose the iOS device to save time.

If you want to use your iPhone as a remote, skip down to the section on pairing your Apple TV with your iPhone for instructions.

Use your iPhone and an Ethernet Cable

Because your Apple TV is not setup on your Wi-Fi, you will need to plug it in to your router using an ethernet cable.

Note: If your router is far from where you want to use your Apple TV, you will need to make some temporary re-arrangements. Your router, Apple TV, and your TV will all need to be close enough for the cables to reach.

Tip: If you have a computer monitor, you can use it instead of your TV for the setup.

You will want to check these settings on your iPhone before you start.

It’s a good idea to update your iPhone to the latest iOS.

Make sure you are signed in to iCloud and you should have two-factor authentication for your Apple ID turned on.

Turn on iCloud Keychain in iCloud Settings.

Go to Settings. Select your name at the top.

Tap iCloud. Scroll down to find Keychain, select it, then toggle the switch to the ON position.

Turn on Bluetooth and make sure you are connected to your Wi-Fi.

Vpn Not Working In Windows 11/10 – Fix Vpn Problems & Issues

A VPN is used by many either to make sure they are not traceable throughout the internet or sometimes its work that needs them to connect to VPN to be on a secure network. Sometimes, network issues result in an error, and you are not able to connect. Either the website doesn’t load, or you are not able to log in to a network using VPN.

Just before we start, here are some basic troubleshooting tips you need to try to fix VPN issues on Windows 11/10. First, make sure your Windows 11/10 is updated to the latest version. Some updates fix known issues around VPN which helps instantly. Second, reinstall the network drivers to the latest version or try some old drivers to see if that fixes.  Lastly, the issue could be as simple as Cached DNS. Even though you had changed it, the computer uses an old address. So you may want to flush the DNS cache. You can also check if your router needs an update. The information will be available with the Web Interface of the router.

VPN not working in Windows 11/10 1] Change VPN Protocol

Open your VPN Settings and change the VPN Protocol. Setting it to OpenVPN has helped many get over this issue.

2] Reinstall VPN Software

If you are using a VPN software, instead of the inbuilt VPN feature of Windows 10, it is always a good idea to reinstall it. Many a time the configuration of the software is the root cause of the problem, and simple reinstallation fixes. Also, do cross-check if your VPN software subscription has expired.

3] Reinstall WAN MiniPorts

WAN Miniports are drivers for various types of network connections. WAN Miniport (IP), WAN Miniport(IPv6) and WAN Miniport (PPTP) are used for VPN connections, i.e., connection to a PPTP VPN server.  You can easily reinstall the drivers again using Windows.

Open Device Manager

Find Network Adapters

Uninstall WAN Miniport (IP), WAN Miniport(IPv6) and WAN Miniport (PPTP).

The adapters you just uninstalled should come back

Try connecting again. Hopefully, you should be good to go.

4] Troubleshoot TAP-Windows Adapter

These are virtual network kernel devices i.e. software-based, and offer virtual TAP device functionality on the Windows OS. Many a time this is required the VPN software to work properly. We would highly recommend you to check out our tutorial on TAP-Windows Adapters.

5 Insert an Exception for UDP by editing The Registry

UDP or User Datagram Protocol is another way of transmitting data, just like TCP. However, UDP is used primarily for establishing low-latency and loss-tolerating connections between applications on the internet. Many VPN software and even Windows uses it. If there is a security issue around it, it fails i.e. UDP needs to establish security associations when both the server and the Windows PC.

Follow these steps to access Registry Editor. You may need to create or update new input.

Backup your registry. In the search bar, type regedit and open the Registry Editor from the list of the results

Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesPolicyAgent

Type AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule and then press ENTER.

In the Value Data box, type  2. A value of 2 configures Windows so that it can establish security associations when both the server and the Windows-based VPN client computer are behind NAT devices.

Reboot, and try again.

6] Configure Firewall

Windows Firewall makes sure that no unsecured or unauthorized connection gets access to your PC. Windows Firewall might disable or lock those requests from the VPN software, assuming it to be a threat. You need to allow the VPN through the Fiirewall.

In the Search bar, type Firewall and select ”Allow an app through Windows Firewall”.

In the huge list, look for your VPN software. Make sure to make sure that both the Public and Private networks are enabled.

If your software is not listed, you can find it manually using Allow another app.

Confirm changes and try connecting through your VPN again.

7] Disable IPv6

Many a time IPv6 may cause a problem connecting to the network. While the default is still set to IPv4, you can cross check by disabling IPv6 and run everything on IPv4. Every VPN creates a software-based network adapter. You just need to change adapter settings for this VPN to IPv4.

Open Network and Internet and then Network and Sharing Center.

Select Change adapter settings from the left pane.

Uncheck the box beside IPv6 and confirm changes.

Reboot your PC if you have to and try again.
